Kritoggo Foundation is a non-profit charity organization that focuses on increasing IT literacy and overall development of the society. We strive to contribute to the development of our community through our projects.
We are passionate about working to ease issues such as poverty, natural disasters, and climate which has had catastrophic effects and has been pulling us back as a society. We have been working with communities affected by these issues by sponsoring groceries, fixing houses, and building water plants and purifiers in rural areas. We do it because we are grateful and wish to give back to people what we have been blessed with.
The organization began its journey in October 2020 with smaller campaigns, and is now working towards contributing to the SDG Goals, with niche being increasing IT literacy amongst underprivileged students (SDG 4 & 8) through a 6 month development course followed by internships and Freelancing.
Our mission is to create opportunities to break free from the poverty cycle, whilst focusing more on skill development education.
Our vision consists of a world where change creates unity, where communities, especially marginalized ones, are empowered and given a chance to break the shackles of poverty. Our vision is for people to thrive in life rather than just survive.
In October of 2020, during peak Covid times, Miss.Syeda Nadira Sumaiya was first hand seeing the difference of reality between her and the people around. People who once could afford 3 meals a day were now uncertain of even one. Despite the deadly virus, we were seeing people forced to go to work in unsafe conditions because they were the sole breadwinner. She saw several posts and comments stating how people wished they could help the unfortunate, but that was it. Most people only expressed their sadness, and desire to help but didn’t take the next step forward.
Sumaiya founded Kritoggo with the aim of helping people realize that if you are blessed and privileged, be grateful, but don’t stop there! Be grateful and give back to those who are underprivileged. What started as a charity organization with small campaigns, is now on track to create bigger and better projects which will be able to address larger concerns in our society. Having completed her degree in Business Management, Sumaiya wishes to create more sustainable businesses under Kritoggo but from a non-profit perspective
