Disaster Management Campaigns

Whenever disaster strikes, Team Kritoggo is always ready to stand beside the victims. During Ramadan 2021, a horrible storm hit the Bangla Bazar area of Nobiganj Sylhet. Our team in Sylhet was immediately ready with food packs for those whose houses were destroyed by the storm and were left stranded. We also managed to help repair the house of one of the victims. 

When the deadly fire blast happened in Sitakunda, we acted as the fundraising partner and collaborated with a local organization. With the funds raised, we provided the required medicine, food, clothes, bedsheets, pillows and cash to the victims admitted at Chattagram Medical College, to help them and their families survive this crisis.

In 2022, when the devastating flood hit Sylhet, Kritoggo, despite being low on funds as we had just wrapped the Sitakunda fundraiser, were on our feet. Within less than 12 hours we raised over 60,000 taka and immediately headed out to Sylhet to provide support to the victims. We worked alongside the Bangladesh Army and ensured the people stranded in remote locations also got relief packages. This became one of the biggest challenging yet successful campaigns for Kritoggo, where we raised over lacs in fundraising and despite being a small organization at the time, managed to make a lasting impact. 

Kritoggo is standing beside those affected by calamity not only on a national level, but internationally too. When Turkey-Syria was hit by the horrific earthquake, Kritoggo raised funds overnight and donated blankets to the victims with help from TiKA Dhaka (Turkish Embassy). We have also stood beside Palestine by donating cash directly to the Embassy last year.
