Covid-19 pandemic has caused huge destruction in lives causing an increase in poverty by 42% (and this may well increase in the future) in Bangladesh due to the loss of occupations. Our Food Bank was launched to combat the massive food crisis. We distributed over 500+ grocery bags during the initial launch.
Interacting with people from various socioeconomic backgrounds during our distributions enabled us to comprehend how dreadful it can be to live in poverty. This battle was far from ending, so Kritoggo turned the Food Bank into a long term project. Our Food Bank aims to deliver grocery bags to as many deprived hands; When individuals/families reach out to us for food aid, instead of handing over cash which can often be misused, we hand them the essential groceries along with a few extra items (Sanitary napkins, and hygiene products) when needed.

As the prices of everyday items continue to go up, inflation increases; the effect is felt mostly by lower-income and middle-class households. Kritoggo is tackling this inflation by handing out groceries every other week.
