As we grow further, and focus on our long term goal of making our beneficiaries not be donation dependent, we launched a foundation program based on IT and aligns with SDG 4 and 8 (Quality Education/Decent work and Economic growth). Project Asha is an IT literacy program for the underprivileged students. It’s a 6 month course where we will be focusing on teaching students top in demand skills such as Graphic Design, Web Design or Digital Marketing along with English Language and an overall guide to being well versed with how computers work. The course also focuses on giving students knowledge regarding personal and professional development. At the end of the course, they will be helped with getting internships or working on freelancing websites.
There will be 2 levels (semesters).
Level 1:
▪️English Language.
▪️Introduction to IT.
▪️Basic Software knowledge.
▪️Using the internet, safely and responsibly.
Level 2: (any one course)
▪️Graphic Design
▪️Digital Marketing
▪️Content Writing
▪️Web Designing
Furthermore, there will be additional classes on learning how to manage your finances and social etiquette. These are to ensure the students become all rounded and ready to face a world out of their comfort zone. More so, these kids will also have access to mental health services and life coaching, to teach them it’s necessary to prioritize their health too.
At the end of the course, students will be connected with internship opportunities or helped with creating their profile on freelance websites, and getting work through the platform.

Think about how many people outside of Dhaka can actually afford to buy your product/service? Even if there is a 180 million population, not everyone is advanced enough, nor are they aware of technology works.
And that is exactly why we are introducing this IT course especially to those outside Dhaka; in rural schools and orphanages. We want the upcoming generation to advance together as a community. The world is being digitized, and people living in cities, people with financial resources have easy access to cope with the digitalisation. But the students living in less advanced communities, with fewer resources- they are not being given the same opportunities to grow and will be left behind.
We can all agree that child labour is a major issue in Bangladesh. Without a doubt every one of us agrees that children should be in schools and not working under harsh and dangerous conditions. With your help and our team of volunteers, we plan to do just that! We want to give children hope. That their circumstances won’t hold them back, that they will be able to break the poverty cycle that has gone on for generations. That they have the opportunity to choose what they want to do or become in life. They have a choice!
When youth from rural areas come into the city, they come with the goal to earn enough money to make a living, despite whatever their working conditions may be. These youth have so much talent but it’s never discovered because they are never given a chance. They end up working at your businesses as cleaners or warehouse staff that do the heavy lifting. But have you ever thought to consider that one of these youths might have an idea to create a software that could revolutionize the way we do things? Help us give opportunities to the underprivileged, so that we can discover hidden talent. Talent that could one day change your business and the country as a whole. If not the discovery of talent, at minimum they could earn a better living and spend on your products and services.180 million people in the country, but when a large percentage cannot afford the services a business provides neither do they understand basic IT skills, it is concerning. To solve this, we need to work as a community. Why?
In order to develop further as a country, to bring in more investment and have skilled youth, the majority of the population needs to be on the same wavelength. And that will only be possible if we work together as a community, share our resources and focus on building together instead of against each other.
